Does the full-band jammer have the same shielding range for different mobile phones?

by LIU YIFA 23 Jul 2025

Full-band bockers are not limited to shielding mobile phone signals. They can also effectively interfere with multiple radio signals such as WiFi and GPS by configuring interference modules of different frequency bands. Since wireless signals of different standards differ in frequency range, technical standards and transmission power, the interference effect and range of full-band jammers in each frequency band will also be different.

Frequency range and interference differences

At present, the wireless frequencies used in domestic mobile communications are roughly concentrated in the range of 700MHz to 6000MHz, covering:

Mobile phone signals of major operators (2G/3G/4G/5G)

Wireless networks (WiFi 2.4G/5G)

Satellite positioning (GPS, Beidou, etc.)

Since the lower the frequency, the stronger the penetration ability and the longer the propagation distance, and high-frequency signals are more easily blocked, the shielding range of jammers in low frequency bands (such as 700MHz) is usually greater than that in high frequency bands (such as 5.8GHz).

Differences in signal strength of different standards

Under the same environment, the signal strength of mobile phones of different operators or standards often varies significantly. A mobile phone may receive signals from multiple frequency bands at the same time (such as main frequency, auxiliary frequency, 5G+4G hybrid networking, etc.). Therefore, only shielding some frequency bands may still not completely cut off mobile phone communications.

To achieve effective shielding, it is necessary to:

Test and identify the strongest signal frequency band on site;

Prioritize interference with this frequency band and configure the shielding strategy with this as the core;

Verify whether the interference range coverage can affect the signals of other auxiliary frequency bands to ensure the overall shielding effect.

Cost optimization suggestions

Fully shielding all frequency bands requires a large number of modules, high power and high cost. In the case of limited budget, the following optimization strategies can be adopted:

On-site spectrum analysis: accurately identify the dominant frequency band;

High-power interference in key frequency bands: use high-power modules for the strongest frequency band to improve interference efficiency;

Reasonably configure frequency band module combinations: avoid redundant interference and control procurement and energy consumption costs.

When facing different mobile phones and wireless signals, the interference range of full-band wifi signal blockers varies depending on factors such as frequency, standard, signal strength, etc. Through scientific spectrum testing and targeted module configuration, it is possible to effectively control costs while ensuring the interference effect, and achieve a cost-effective wireless signal management solution.
