Can the full-band frequency jammer be powered by the car cigarette lighter?
In certain scenarios, the full-band frequency signal jammer effectively blocks a variety of wireless communications by transmitting interference signals, and has important application value. However, its power supply method directly affects the practicality and safety of the device, especially in the vehicle-mounted use scenario, many people are concerned about whether it can be powered by the car cigarette lighter?
1. Power demand and limitations of the car cigarette lighter
Most full-band frequency jammers, especially portable medium and high power models, usually require power between 250W and 300W to ensure the interference effect. The maximum output power of ordinary car cigarette lighters is generally only about 120W, which is significantly different from the high power consumption of the jammer.
If such devices are forcibly connected, the following problems may occur:
The cigarette lighter circuit is overloaded and burned, causing the fuse to blow;
Unstable voltage affects the operating efficiency of the jammer;
Affects other circuits in the vehicle, bringing safety hazards to the electrical system.
Therefore, for most high-power full-band jammers, the car cigarette lighter cannot directly meet their power supply needs.
2. Exceptions: Low-power devices and charging purposes
There are also some wifi jammers designed for vehicle-mounted scenarios (such as GPS jammers), which have low power consumption (generally between 10W and 50W) and can be stably powered by the cigarette lighter, suitable for long-term operation.
In addition, although some handheld jammers are equipped with a DC 12V cigarette lighter interface, they are mostly used for device charging rather than direct power supply operation. This type of interface functions like a mobile power bank, which only recharges the built-in battery.
3. Recommended practices
If you really need to use high-power jammers in the car, you should use an independent boost power module or a dedicated vehicle inverter to convert the vehicle power supply into a suitable voltage and current output to ensure stable operation of the device and protect the safety of the vehicle circuit.
Unless it is a low-power jammer designed for vehicle-mounted use, a general full-band jammer cannot be directly powered by the cigarette lighter. When using it, you should strictly follow the power requirements of the equipment and the load capacity of the vehicle's electrical system, and choose a suitable power supply method to avoid safety hazards and unnecessary equipment damage.
