After installing a mobile phone signal blocker, can the mobile phone still access the Internet?

by LIU YIFA 19 May 2025

Now many schools generally choose to install mobile phone signal blockers to prevent and eliminate cheating in exams to prevent students from cheating during exams. So after the blocker is turned on, can students still use their mobile phones to access the Internet?

Then let's talk about the three ways to access the Internet on mobile phones.

The first way is to access the Internet through the network signal provided by the operator. This way of accessing the Internet is more common. When people go out, they basically use this method to access the Internet on their mobile phones. If you use this method to play games or watch videos, it consumes more traffic. If you enter the coverage of the blocker, the mobile phone will not be able to receive the signal provided by the operator normally, resulting in the inability of the mobile phone to obtain network data, and you will not be able to make calls or send and receive text messages.

The second way is to connect the mobile phone to WIFI to access the Internet. When entering the coverage of the mobile phone signal blocker, if you are lucky enough and the blocker does not carry a WIFI channel to block it, then congratulations, although the mobile phone cannot make calls or send and receive text messages, you have the world in your hand and can surf the Internet freely. However, if the jammer supports the WIFI shielding function, then in this case the WiFi will also be interfered by the jammer, and the mobile phone will not be able to access the Internet.

The third method is to directly connect the mobile phone through the wired LAN port adapter. This method is the same as the direct connection of the computer to the network cable. It transmits network data through the wire and is not affected by the mobile phone signal jammer. This is because the medium of network signal transmission changes. The jammer can interfere with various wireless signals transmitted through wireless transmission, and it has no effect on devices that transmit data through wires.
