How GPS signal jammer works

by LIU YIFA 25 Mar 2024

The working principle of the GPS signal blocker is based on transmitting wireless signals of specific frequencies to interfere with the positioning signal of the GPS receiver. Here’s how a GPS signal jammer generally works:

Receive GPS signals: The GPS signal jammer will first use its own receiving antenna to receive positioning signals from GPS satellites. These signals contain satellite position and time information.

Analyze GPS signals: The received GPS signals will be sent to the jammer’s processing unit for analysis and decoding. The processing unit extracts the satellite's position and time data.

Generate interference signals: Based on the analyzed GPS signals, the GPS signal jammer will generate interference signals that are the same or related to the GPS signal frequency. These interfering signals are emitted at high power.

Jamming GPS Receivers: The emitted jamming signal covers nearby areas, including the location of the GPS receiver. These interference signals will interfere with normal GPS signals, making the GPS receiver unable to correctly receive and decode the positioning signals sent by the satellites.

Blocking GPS positioning: Due to the existence of interference signals, the GPS receiver cannot accurately calculate its own position and time, thus blocking the GPS positioning function.

It should be noted that the working principle of the signal jammer for sale is based on the emission of interference signals, so it may cause interference to other nearby GPS receivers, including legitimate GPS users. Therefore, when using a GPS signal jammer, you should comply with applicable laws and regulations and ensure that it does not interfere with the legitimate GPS use of others.
