5G fully connected factory increases production efficiency by nearly 60%
Recently, Chongqing held a launch meeting for the "5G Fully Connected Factory". This event is vigorously promoted by China Telecom. The action plan is expected to cover 15 industries, with more than 3,000 5G customized network projects, and the cumulative number of 5G industry commercial projects has exceeded 7,000 to create a cloud-network-edge-device integrated NICE comprehensive service system of "network customization, edge intelligence, cloud collaboration, on-demand applications, and service guarantee". In the process of large-scale promotion, special emphasis is placed on setting benchmarks for key industries. Up to now, hundreds of fully connected factory benchmarks have been built in 10 key industries such as mining, electric power, and steel. Sany, Haier, and Midea factories have been rated as “World Lighthouse Factory".
"The convening of this meeting will promote the construction of 5G fully connected factories in Chongqing, open up the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, promote the sharing of resources, data, and capabilities, and build an open and win-win cross-domain 5G application ecosystem." According to statistics, Chongqing has now 30 5G﹢Industrial Internet application demonstration projects have been selected and built, a total of 5,578 intelligent transformation projects have been implemented, 127 smart factories and 734 digital workshops have been built, and the production efficiency of demonstration projects has increased by 58.9% on average. 5G jammer
