Many mobile devices, especially smartphones, are becoming more and more dangerous to American drivers over time. The Governor Highway Safety Association conducted a survey of about 350 scientific papers to measure the distraction of drivers while driving. The results may be a bit shocking.

You may be distracted by eating and drinking (without alcohol, of course), talking to passengers, applying makeup and music, but mobile phones and smartphones are the worst known to exist today. It's a pastime.

According to the GHSA survey mentioned above, 25% of all car accidents (from minor to fatal) are due to the use of smartphones while driving.
If you are a business owner, your driving staff (fleet drivers, salespeople, etc.) may be equipped with a smartphone. Why? Because it's practical, modern, and necessary. Speaking or sending text messages while driving puts the risk not only on these drivers and other road users, but also on the property of the company.
Many states ban or plan to use mobile phones while driving, but many ignore those bans and continue to cause conflicts and dangerous situations.
Emotions and technology
